Welcome to our Sustainability page
We recognise that our ongoing investment and commitment to our people and our planet is the right thing to do and can only make us better!
QCC is proactively seeking and implementing new and innovative ways of working to minimise the negative effects on the environment and the people working within, without compromising the quality of our service delivery.
QCC are passionate about joining communities and clients to share, learn and develop policies and practise.
Through tracking and reporting, we will be working to achieve our own objective of net zero by 2040, whilst supporting our clients to achieve theirs.

Sustainable Development
We are committed to meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs as a guiding principle within our work

Human sustainability
We are concerned about Employee welfare, community support & safety, and the safeguarding of the environment are a fundamental part of this commitment

Workplace Culture
Our aim is to promote a workplace culture that values people and communities, inspires employees to be more productive but with consideration for the impact of their actions

The 3 Pillars
For our business success, service success is only achieved if we have protected and safeguarded all three of our business objectives, and in this order....
“People, Planet & Performance”.

Our goal is to reach net zero by 2050

QCC’s practices regarding charitable donations & community investments
“As a local business operating for over 40 years, QCC has always been keen to contribute to the community and charitable organisations.
Following the sad loss of Paul Heales and David Heales, QCC owners 1983 – 2017 to mental health illness, QCC currently makes donations and has participated in events to support “Mind” charity.
QCC is actively approaching local groups, to seek out opportunities to participate/ volunteer in community events, and is this year will be looking for a cause linked with environmental awareness/ efforts.”
QCC is SMAS Worksafe Plus approved, proactively seeking and implementing new and innovative ways of working to minimise the negative effects on the environment and the people working within. We have a robust and measured sustainability policy and action plan in place, and we are working with innovative suppliers who are making the changes. Sustainability is part of our nature | Katrin , and we challenge our customers to make changes in their waste operations which promote recycling and reduction of land fill waste.

Paying at the "Real living wage"
As a business we pay at the Real Living Wage (as opposed to the lesser National Living Wage) as a minimum. We are keen to encourage payment of cleaning teams at the RLW, which in our experience has helped us to attract and retain good quality employees who are invested in their work.
