At Quality Care Cleaning, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a commitment that is integrated into our everyday operations. This year, we’re taking our eco-journey to the next level, and we want to bring you along with us.

We believe that success is about more than just delivering exceptional cleaning services. It’s about making a positive impact in three key areas (and in this order):

While all three are crucial, this year, our focus is on the Planet—finding new ways to make our operations more sustainable while continuing to deliver high-quality cleaning solutions.
Eco-Friendly Innovation: Trialling Sustainable Products
Since we specialise in cleaning science buildings, laboratories spaces, choosing eco-friendly products isn’t as simple as swapping out one chemical for another. We need to consider factors, such as cross-contamination risks, building occupancy, laboratory classifications (CAT 1 vs. CAT 2), effectiveness and compliance with client requirements.
That’s why we are actively trialling new, greener cleaning products that meet both our standards and health & safety guidelines. As part of our initiatives, attending BUNZL’s Innov8 East Anglia Cleaning and Innovation Sustainability Show 2024 in Newmarket was discovering and further explore promising eco-friendly commercial cleaning solutions, such as Cleanline Dissolvable Sachets and OdorBac Tec4—products we’re excited to test further this year and actively offering them to our clients as an eco-friendly alternative.
Sustainable Practices at our HQ
Sustainability isn’t just about what we do for our clients—it’s about how we operate as a company. That’s why we’ve already taken steps to align with the UK government’s “Simpler Recycling” initiative.
One small but impactful change? We’ve removed all under-desk bins in our office. It reduced waste, is encouraging better recycling habits, and even has health benefits by encouraging movement for our desk-based colleagues.
Spring Cleaning with a Purpose
As part of our commitment to sustainability, we’re incorporating eco-conscious practices into our annual warehouse spring cleaning. It’s about more than just tidying up—it’s a chance to rethink our processes, reduce waste, allow sufficient space for more common products & refill products and ensure we’re continuously improving our environmental impact.
Sharing Our Journey & Inspiring Change
We know that change doesn’t happen in isolation. That’s why we’re sharing our eco-journey with our clients, partners, and industry peers. By being open about what we’re learning and implementing, we hope to encourage other businesses to make more sustainable choices, too.
This is just the beginning, and we’re proud of the steps we’ve already taken. But there’s still more to do, and we can’t wait to see where this journey takes us next.
