Simpler Recycling: How Quality Care Cleaning Is Raising the Bar
At Quality Care Cleaning, we’re not just about keeping spaces spotless—we’re committed to making them more sustainable too. With the UK government’s new “Simpler Recycling” policy set to take effect by 31st March 2025, we’ve already taken proactive steps to align with the guidelines and help our clients and staff do the same.

No More Under-Desk Bins – A Simple Change with Big Benefits
One of the changes we’ve implemented is as small as the removal of under-desk bins in office spaces. Instead, we’ve introduced centralised, segregated waste stations to improve recycling efficiency.
This isn’t just about reducing landfill waste—it’s also a healthy initiative for desk-based work employees. Walking to a central bin increases daily steps, encourages movement, and promotes a cleaner, more organised workspace.

Supporting Our Clients and Staff in Their Sustainability Goals
We know that sustainability is a shared responsibility. That’s why we go beyond just following the policy—we actively support our clients and staff with:
- Guidance on waste segregation and best recycling practices
- Promotion of compostable food waste bins and bin bags, such as small 7L kitchen caddy bins for organic waste
- Regular training for our staff to stay updated on waste management changes, reinforced
